Natural Acne Control - No Harsh Chemicals

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008
by Anthony Stai

Do you want to get rid of the pimples on your face? Silly question right? Of course you do! But you want to do it without spending a fortune on medications and treatments.

Let’s start with “what is acne?” Acne is a skin disorder that is primarily caused by your hormones acting in conjunction with the skin’s oil glands called the sebaceous glands. The oils excreted from the sebaceous glands may lead to congesting you skin pores. At this point your acne is forming. Acne can breakout on your face, neck, chest, back and shoulders, and occasionally even on your scalp because this is where the glands are most profuse. Without proper treatment and occasionally counseling, severe acne can lead to other psychological disorders such as depression.

Some of the factors that can contribute to acne outbreaks are genetics and hygiene. Of course, we can’t do anything about our genetics except thank our parents. But we can do something about the other factors following the simple steps listed here.

1. Get your recommended daily allowance of fruits and vegetables to balance your body’s chemistry and you’ll be surprised at the how well you feel afterward.

2. Rose Water - Use rose water as a facial cleanser. Simply dip a cotton ball in the solution and clean your face at least twice daily.

3. Don’t Wait - Waiting for a pimple to form is like admitting defeat. Take control and do something about before it is a full fledged zit. Try patting some ice on the swollen location to reduce the swelling and release the poisons in the pores.

4. Multi-vitamins will help get your body’s chemistry back into balance. Not only will you live healthier but having your body’s chemistry in balance will reduce the hormonal output of your sebaceous glands.

5. Cucumbers - I know, we’ve all seen the movies with the ladies sitting on the couch with cucumbers over the eyes. It’s done to produce a laugh but the reality is that it works. Blend some cucumber with water and make a facial mask. Leave it on for about half an hour and then rinse off. This is very affordable and not only helps control acne but refreshes your skin as well.

6. Carefully Select Soaps - Use only mild soaps, even though you are thinking that you should dry your skin out. Avoid using petroleum or animal based soaps because they tend to dry out you skin and make it irritated.

7. Avoid using alcohol based cleansers on your skin because they tend to dry it out. Alcohol free is a better way to go and will be much kinder to your face and body.

8. All Natural Makeup - Choose your makeup carefully because many makeup brands contain petroleum which will, once again, dry out your skin and that is normally not what the majority of those suffering from acne need. All natural makeup will be much kinder to your skin.

9. Finally, drink plenty of water. Keep your body hydrated to help fight the build-up of dirt and oils on your skin. Instead your body will try to flush those toxins out and leave you feeling better and fresh.

Use the list above and really try it. Always start with the easiest solutions before trying to move into the expensive and invasive treatments. And note that not all illnesses need to be cured with harsh medicines and chemicals, your body will thank you in the long run.

Do you have constant pain under your left rib cage?

Monday, May 26th, 2008
by Steven Beartoes

Back pain under the left rib cage is a dilemma for all patients suffering from it. Doctors view any constant pain seriously and treat it as a serious disorder or disease. The rib cage is a structure that is formed by the thoracic vertebrae and ribs, sternum-breastbone, and the costal cartilages that connect the ribs to the sternum. A common definition of the term cage is a large enclosure where animals are kept. The rib cage can be considered as a cage that houses or holds the largest animal heart and lung, also called a thoracic cage in medical terms.

In the chest-thorax region, nerves spring out from the spine and divide into two parts. The first part goes to just under the skin and further sends fibers to the surface and also travels around half way around the chest. This is a probable reason for the feeling of pain in the back to the side of the chest. The second part travels to the bottom of the rib around the sternum bone, and also surfaces to the skin and then goes back towards the side on the same level as the first nerve. Rib cage pain can be any pain or discomfort in the area of the ribs.

Rib cage pain can be caused by cracked or fractured rib, Costochondritis, inflammation of cartilage near the breastbone, Osteoporosis, and Pleurisy. If rib cage pain exists with you, we advise that you first get the area x-rayed so as to eliminate the possibility of fractured ribs. If you do have a fractured rib an immediate surgery is advised. If you’ve suffered this pain for a longer period of time i.e. 3 or more months its necessary to go for an MRI or CT scan and consult a professional to examine for nerve damage, tumor or cancer.

Pain due to inflammation of cartilage between ribs and breastbone can radiate around the back and down the arms. Such type of pain could be enormous enough to give you a syndrome that you are having a heart attack or lung problems. Though this condition is benign but it is very painful and uncomfortable during the period it lasts.

There may be times when you will visit a gastroenterologist because of the constant back pain under your left rib cage because the problem starts with your stomach. You might often feel hungry and the feel the urge to let out a big growl, no matter how much you eat it still does not matter, but instead results in heart burn and pain on the left side underneath the cage. To eliminate the possibility of an infection of the intestine or pancreas routine blood pathology is conducted. Digestive, gastro and bowel disorders should be ruled out after seeking doctor’s medical advice. These indications might make you think it’s due to twisted bowel, so a through checkup of the colon should be scheduled.

Constant pain under left rib cage could also be very much uncomfortable for pregnant women especially those who are in higher stage of pregnancy. They get terrible pain near the area where the breast meets ribcage. The trauma is sometimes pretty much and it becomes difficult to sleep.

Why Do U Have Diabetes When Over A Billion Asians Don’t? Find Out

Monday, May 26th, 2008
by Mike Lookin

Haven’t you ever wondered why over a billion asians never get diabetes? Don’t you think there must be a reason? Wouldn’t you like to know what that reason is?

That over a billion asians never get diabetes is not just hog wash - it’s a hard and true fact. For whatever the reason is - whatever they do differently to us - it works.

It never occurs to most people that for each and every terrible disease, a place exists somewhere on this earth where that disease simply does not occur. It’s bizzaar but true. Think about it. What would you give to know why? To know what they do that we don’t, or what they don’t do that we do do?

So that you know I am being straight with you - look this up on the internet yourself. You will soon get the picture. Another disease abundant here - compared to Africa, is breast cancer. It’s on the increase here, they have barely ever heard of it over there. The reason . . . keep reading.

But back to diabetes for now, in excess of 20.8 million people living in the United States suffer from diabetes, which is approximately 7% of the population. What does that tell you - when half way around the world in India, where there are over a billion people - hardly anyone suffers from type-II diabetes!

How is this so? Scientists researching genes, at one point along the way, were thinking there may have been a link through family DNA. This, however is not the case, as has been proven. Not the case at all.

New findings, based on the latest research points towards something very very different. The new research has come up with a brand new strategy (very new to us that is). It is a way of eradicating disease that is new to us here in the Western Hemisphere but in fact it’s actually very old news.

Precisely 2400 years old.

Now as we all know, our “western” doctors are medically trained to prescribe us lots and lots of drugs. This is to try to keep the situation of a person having diabetes stable and under control. This manages the disease - but wouldn’t a fix - a cure - a reversal be better? That is what this new strategy is proving to do.
