Lean Muscle, Lose Fat — The Way To Ideal Weight

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008
by Lenox Smith

It is not easy to build lean muscle and lose fat. People very often try using either diet or exercise. But, they seldom do both. However, this is the most effective manner if they want to build lean muscle and lose fat.

For those who like to diet, there are many different diets on the market that promise to help one lose fat in the stomach. These diets are often known as fad diets such as Atkins and the South Beach diet.

Various exercise techniques are available to those who prefer to use exercise for weight loss. All these techniques promise to help you to build lean muscle and reduce fat with vigorous workouts.

For people the world over, it is quite a challenge to lose weight. Due to the prevalence of television and computers, the obesity problem in America have greatly increased throughout the past decade. Cars have also been a significant factor in increasing the waist sizes as people are doing less walking to get to their destination.

If it is easy to lose weight, you will find fewer fat people and more people with low body fat ratios, lean muscles, and high flexibility. Frequently, losing weight is hampered by employing methods that are ineffective. Weight loss can be a simple task if the correct techniques are used.

Fad diets such as Atkins have been heavily promoted to the general public and have become quite popular. These methods encourage the removal of carbohydrates from the diet. As a result, people frequently try to lose weight by cutting certain foods completely from their diets. However, this method of denial frequently results in failure in the diet plan and losing weight.

It has been found that the complete removal of carbohydrates frequently result in people feeling miserable and irritable. Although this may seems to be an easy way for losing weight, the weight is loss because of insufficient food and nutrients in the body and not as a result of eating healthily.

Exercise is another method that people tend to employ for losing weight. This concept is that the body is in motion and therefore burning calories. While this is true, the calorie consumption often goes up for those who are beginning a work out program. This is due to feeling hungry after a work out.

While it is good to eat after working out, one must be sure to eat the proper foods and in the proper proportions to maintain a healthy weight. A failure to do this can result in one being strong, but still overweight and undefined. This can lead people to feeling as a failure and giving up on the exercise program, never realizing that all they had to do was change what they were eating.

A better and proper way to lose weight is to combine both the dieting and exercising into a complete healthy lifestyle change. This will enable you to build lean muscle and lose fat easily. It will not be very long for you to experience a feeling of satisfaction when you look at yourself in the mirror. When you know how to lose face fat and how to use exercises to lose stomach fat, you will be able to feel complete and satisfied with your body and feel happier with your life.

Education On Relieving Asthma Concerns

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008
by James Redder

One of the most worrying global health trends in recent years is the number of asthma sufferers; it wasn’t that long ago that asthma only affected a small percentage of the population. Although it is treatable, asthma is still a chronic condition which affects the function of breathing of every person who is affected by it. This is a respiratory condition that when not treated properly can easily result in death, if the attack is not attended to in time or is severe.

One of the most important steps for an asthma sufferer is keeping a constant check on their condition. The specific medical treatment depends on the severity of the condition and the frequency of symptoms and specific treatments for it are broadly classified as:

*Preventing attacks from occurring

*Relief medication for minor attacks

*Emergency treatment for serious attacks

Fortunately for patients with only mild version of the condition, a Bronchodilator will be used to provide short term relief; many asthmatics will only ever need this form of medication.

For sufferers with mild persistent attacks, low-dose glucocorticoids, leukotriene modifiers or a mastcell stabilizer are to be taken in addition to relievers. The use of oral glucocorticoids is reserved for patients with a serious asthma condition. Whatever the level of severity they experience all sufferers have a traditional reliever to aid them. It is also important that asthmatics learn what actually triggers an attack so they are able to stay clear of the triggers and possibly stop attacks completely. This particular respiratory problem has become to be recognized as a condition that is most associated with poor air quality and the reason why city dwellers are more likely to suffer.

Medications available over the counter and from the doctor can be very useful but should not be relied upon; if used on a regular basis they can cause serious side effects , including:

*Feelings of constant tiredness

*Dizziness

*Impotence

*Depression

*Damage to the liver and sometimes other organs

Drugs of pharmaceutical quality are now being created to prompt the body’s own immune system to step up and take over but and increasing number of people are choosing to use natural medicines which are treating the origin of the respiratory condition instead. The task is to calm and soothe the hyperactive systems and strengthen the body weak systems; this is done by substances called catalysts. By using organic ingredients that have no side-effects with the same effect.

Pranayam, buteyko and yoga practices breathing techniques have been found helpful to those suffering from asthma as they naturally help the general well-being and breathing of patients. Nutritional supplements and good diet will help improve the immune response and the overall health of the patients. A good nutritional diet will also help improve the immune system but the importance should not be underestimated of the asthma patient managing their own condition.

Simple Answers - What Causes Halitosis (Bad Breath)?

Halitosis, or bad breath is almost inevitable to a degree in everyones life time. However, not everyone is aware that they suffer from this noticeably unpleasent problem! But it would be extremely rare, and if not impossible to escape, without ever having an episode of bad breath. One issue that many people may worry about is having bad breath and friends and acquaintances have not had the guts to tell them about it. Therefore, it is common to wonder what causes bad breath, even if no one has mentioned the subject. It is relatively easy to keep the matter under control with little understanding of what causes bad breath.

Things That Can Cause Bad Breath

Garlic and onions are well known for making breath stinky. It doesn’t matter how many times you brush your teeth, or suck on mints, the smell takes forever to go away! The reason for this is because after the garlic or onions are ingested, the odor causing agents are circulated through the blood stream. So when a person breaths the air is filtered through the garlic smelling blood thus making their breath smell for hours! So, dispite some of the wonderful flavors of both of these dragon-breath agents, most everyone knows to stay clear of them several hours before going into the public.

Despite staying away from onions and or garlic, there are other causes for bad breath. Left over food particles in the mouth are also common grounds for bad breath. The food can rot in the mouth after getting stuck between teeth which could also harbor some types of bacteria which cause bad breath.

About 25% of the population have a problem with “Chronic Bad Breath”. This can actually be a serious issue that is caused by how the body breaks down certain types of bacteria in the mouth. Talking to a doctor about this condition is the best way to find a reasonable solution.

Stopping the Causes of Bad Breath.

Since there are several different reasons for bad breath, visiting a doctor and even a dentist would be the best way to discover the main cause for each person. Blood tests can help finding the root problem, and regular dental check-ups and cleanings can help find chronic odor problems. However the case, since Halitosis can be a very serious condition, it is strongly suggested to get a medical evaluation. But while you are waiting for your doctors appointment, there are several things you can do at home to help!

Good habits should be adequate to treat halitosis if one is in a normal state of health. Tobacco smells at least as much as food with pungent aromas, so staying away from all these influences pays off handsomely in terms of clean and fresh breath.
